Thomas Byrd was born October 1, 1770 in Lenoir County,
                       North Carolina.  He married Elizabeth Williams in 1795 in
                       Wayne County, Mississippi.  Thomas died after 1843 in
                       Mobile, Alabama.

                       The children of Thomas Byrd and Elizabeth Williams were:

                              Thomas Byrd

                              Catherine Byrd was born August 7, 1797.

                              John William Byrd was born May 9, 1799.

                              Ferriday Rapberry Byrd was born April 17, 1800.

                              Henry Allen Byrd was born December 12, 1805.

                              Barbara Ellen Byrd was born March 17, 1807 in
                              South Carolina.  She married Oliver Meredith Smith
                              about 1821 in Jones County, Mississippi.  Barbara
                              died February 24, 1898 in Mount Vernon, Alabama.

                              Pliney Byrd was born after 1809.

                              James Robert Byrd was born September 12, 1814.

                              Edward Byrd was born March 18, 1819.
